New Baby

Lewis Jacob arrived safe and sound just after 2.00am. He is safe and well and his mom and dad are delighted that he is OK and weighed a resounding 9lb 6 oz ! Glad I didnt have to deliver him ! His dad and his uncle were only 6lb 12oz and 7lb 4oz respectively, and that felt bad enough lol.

This is going to be fun :-)

More Changes.......

This beautiful grandson of mine has endured four major heart operations and four minor ops since last September when he was born. He must have spent getting on for three months in total of his one year life in Birmingham Childrens Hospital, a place I cannot praise enough for the skill and care that he has received by the consultants and other medical team members.

Charlie is the most beautiful natured little boy, always smiling and giving his nana and grandad lots and lots of cuddles. We are lucky in that he spends a lot of time with us, especially whilst Himself has been off work and at home. He is crawling and getting in to normal one year old mischief and heaven help me when he does start walking, because knowing Charlie it wont be a walk it will be a run !

Anyway, today things change somewhat. I had to go and pick Charlie up at 1.30am and he is going to be joined by his baby brother or sister probably today. Oh boy one thirteen month old and a new born........life is certainly going to be busy now ! :-]

Updates as and when....... Me and Charlie are off to make porridge !

It's been a funny old year......

Hello, yes I am still here, somewhere.....

Its been a funny old year since I last posted on Little Terraced House, Family illnesses, work changes, unemployment, mountingnot decreasing debt, more illnesses and now we get to here.......the middle of October. I feel as though we have been peddalling along through sticky mud for months - each time we lift a foot to get clear, the other foot which is still stuck, pulls us back to where we have been ! Its been a muddled, confusing, heart wrenching year in many ways, but I am always mindful that we are still so much better placed than many others and that even though the illnesses (one of them at least) could have taken a life, they didn',t and we are all still here.

It was the anniversary of the death my lovely sister in law last week, and I can honestly say that I dont think there is a day that has gone past where she hasn't been in our thoughts or has been talked about ! She really was one of the loveliest, funniest people I have ever met and I miss her contantly.

I will be back soon, I do have lots to talk about and much to share.

I hope you are well and that 2010 has been a good year so far for you.
